How to create VLANs on Omada


This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up VLANs. It will also provide information on additional VLAN configuration e.g. applying VLANs to SSIDs.


How to define VLANs on Omada when using a third-party gateway


First, go to Settings > Wired Networks > Create New LAN



Now give the VLAN a name, define the VLAN ID and click save.



To apply the VLAN to a switch port, you can go to the Devices page and select the switch you want to configure.


Now go to the Ports tab, and select the edit icon on the port you want to configure, here you can select the VLAN you want to apply to the port.


How to define VLANs on Omada when using an Omada gateway


First, go to Settings > Wired Networks > Create New LAN


Here you will need to define the gateway/subnet, DHCP range and VLAN ID, once defined click save.





Once created it can be applied to switch ports accordingly.


How to configure VLANs on wireless networks


First, go to Settings > Wireless Networks > select the edit icon next to the SSID to which you want to apply the VLAN.


Now go to the Advanced tab, enable VLAN and enter the VLAN ID.
