How to Add a new Project and new Devices to Ruijie Cloud
This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a new Project and add new devices to your Project.
Step 1: Create a new Project
- On the home page, click Add on the left-hand side and select Add Project
- Enter a project name/alias to identify this group of devices (e.g., "The Granary")
- Create a management password (this is used to log in to the local interface of the devices)
- Select a scenario for the project
- Choose the relevant Time Zone for the network/project and click Next
Once the project has been created, you can choose to add devices immediately or later
Step 2: Adding devices
There are two ways to add new devices to a Ruijie Project: immediately after creating a new project or later in the Workspace section
- Click on the Project
- Go to Workspace and click Add Device
- Select the device type and click next (when adding APs, ensure Managed by Ruijie Cloud Web is selected)
- (If AP is selected) Enter your desired WiFi name and password, otherwise enter the serial number of the unit and provide an Alias/Name
- Once added, the device will initialise for a few minutes before coming online and fully synced
